#2 is the same as number 1! It’s very important, so I’m going to repeat it and I hope y’all take it seriously…
Rob’s Tip #1-
Slow it down!
Slower…
Slower…
Slow it down to a tempo where you can play it perfectly. If you’re not playing it perfect, then your teaching your fingers how to do it the wrong way, you’re repeating the wrong moves over and over. Get the CORRECT muscle memory going by slowing it down. Way down.
Get your fingers used to perfect, then move the tempo up. This process has helped me A LOT in the last few years, highly recommended! -

Hi Dave,
I use the Transcribe software to slow down the videos, it’s available for Mac or Windows. You can try the free version on their site.

Hi Dave,
Craig Spinney here, Rob’s partner at Big Music Tent…
I’m not aware of an app that will slow down videos, but on our site if you click on the “Settings” button on any video, a playback speed display will appear where you can choose different speeds of playback for our videos. There is a speed control on the play-along tracks as well. Presently, we are working on a variable speed control for our videos and play-along tracks that will loop as well. That will give much more control than is available now. Stay tuned!
